Summer Fling, featuring Erja Lyytinen's slide guitar, tells a musically nuanced story of a person infatuated with a summer fling, complete with soaring plans. Julia Vuorinen's lyrics cleverly navigate the whirlwinds of infatuation, and here, if anywhere, Taru's vocal interpretation is in a class of its own! The band grooves, enhanced by percussionist Joonas Kaikko, and even the drum track rolls deliciously to the finish, despite my leg being broken! Though, at the time of recording, we didn’t comprehend the situation and there was no diagnosis of the true condition of the leg. What a memory... 😅![]()
